In Type III class, students were assigned to design a “moving” poster for a fictitious event.

This poster promotes Dutch, avant-garde, fashion designer known for fusing technology and couture, Iris Van Herpen. 

In my research I found that the Hypnosis Collection was partly inspired by Suminagashi (a japanese ink on water marbling technique). I wanted to fully embrace this and have the type speak a similar language, whether it be through rippling motion or repetition. The dominating vertical motif that repeats itself throughout the poster is a nod to the actual runway that couture garments are normally presented on.
